Manchester United continue to search for their first summer signing today after the Premier League fixtures were announced on Thursday.

Erik ten Hag's first match in the Premier League will be at home to Brighton and Hove Albion while his first taste of a competitive fixture against Liverpool will be on Saturday, August 20. Before then, United will need to strengthen their squad and Ajax's Jurrien Timber is one of the players linked with a move to Old Trafford.

However, reports in the Netherlands have suggested that Timber is leaning towards staying at the Amsterdam club this summer. It has previously been suggested that the centre-back is unwilling to make the move to Manchester as it could jeopardise his chances of making the World Cup.

One player who will definitely not be at United next season is Paul Pogba. The Frenchman may have burnt plenty of bridges at the Theatre of Dreams on his way out of the club after comments he made in Amazon Prime's new documentary, 'The Pogmentary', were released.

Pogba criticised the club's new contract offers on camera before comparing himself to Jesus.
