Manchester United Overhaul Goalkeeper: 2 Out, David de Gea Safe, Who's New?
The 2021/2022 season was not going so well for United. No titles won. In fact, the Red Devils failed to achieve the minimum target of finishing in the top four of the Premier League and qualifying for the Champions League.
United are improving in welcoming the 2022/2023 season. Erik ten Hag has big plans. However, not everything can be realized. Darwin Nunez's transfer failed to reach. Then, there is a winding road to bring Frenkie de Jong to Old Trafford.
Big changes will also occur under the bar. Of the four goalkeepers in the first team for the 2021/2022 season, only David de Gea will stay. Let's see the full review below, Bolaneters.

Two goalkeepers will leave United. Lee Grant, who is already 39 years old, has been confirmed to move because his contract runs out. Last season, Lee Grant became only United's fourth goalkeeper.
United will also release Dean Henderson. Not to Newcastle, but to Nottingham Forest. Henderson is unhappy only to be the second goalkeeper at United. He will move on loan with an option to buy 20 million pounds.
Unlike Grant and Henderson, Tom Heaton will most likely be retained. Heaton still has a contract until June 2023. He will be the second or third goalkeeper next season.
Apart from Heaton, David de Gea has definitely stayed at United. The Spanish goalkeeper is the main choice for the 2021/2022 season. His role is very vital in the midst of a less convincing performance from the Red Devils back line.
Who's coming?
David de Gea has definitely survived and is the first choice. Meanwhile, Tom Heaton will be the cover. However, United can't just rely on two goalkeepers for the 2022/2023 season.
Currently, United are approaching Watford goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann. He is prepared to be the second or third goalkeeper. However, this transfer will only be made by United if Dean Henderson moves.
"Several clubs showed interest in me, but the most intensive contact came from Manchester United. For me, it is a great honor that they are interested in you," Bachmann told Sky Sports.
