The 'Red Devils' have reportedly offered Bailly to Newcastle United and are ready to trade at £8.5 million. Newcastle are indeed looking for a central defender and are having trouble securing the transfer of Sven Botman from Lille.

"I'm very happy. This decision is something I don't need to think about, I love this club and am happy to play for Manchester United," said Eric Bailly in April 2021, after signing a new contract with Manchester United.
