David De Gea Sprays Man United Players Set an Example Through Actions Not Words

MANCHESTER – Manchester United (Man United) goalkeeper David De Gea continues to try to guide young players to help him bring Man United back to its former glory. De Gea also wants his teammates to do the same, but through action and not just words.

As is known, several young players from the Red Devils – the nickname of Man United – have been given the opportunity to play in the first team last season (2021/2022). Names such as Anthony Elanga, Alejandro Garnacho, and Hannibal Mejbri are some examples.

However, these players certainly need a mentor figure to help hone the great potential they have. De Gea, who has now been at Old Trafford for 11 years, has also become one of the senior players trying to help young Man United players develop.

"As an experienced player in the squad, I try to give advice to the younger players. I give 100 per cent every day in training and in games, to try to be an example for everyone," De Gea said.

However, the Spaniard believes that senior players must set a good example, both off and on the pitch. Because according to him, action is more influential on the development of young players than just a suggestion or input.

"I think it's not just about talking and giving advice to young players. It's about the way you work, the way you treat people at the club, the way you train, the way you play. I think this is even more important than words," added the 31-year-old goalkeeper.

Of course, the Red Devils academy players must be able to maximize the team made by Erik Ten Hag. Because, it has become a tradition from Man United that they are able to bring their club to its heyday since the Class of 92 era to Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo.

In addition, well-known names such as Frankie De Jong and Darwin Nunez are also on Man United's radar. If they really join, it will certainly add to the ferocity of the Manchester Red squad, who have been fasting for more than five years with the title.
